关于我们
Jeff Widness founded HMI as Home Menders, Inc. in Minnesota in 1973. By 1975, HMI had grown into a heavy construction company, adding complicated multi-structural concrete projects, along with airport construction and navigation systems, to its expertise. HMI established early on a solid foundation for high-quality work. From airport lighting systems, localizers, and military contracted arrestors to city-contracted construction such as retaining walls, city-contracted schools and beyond, HMI now offers its over 40 years of construction management to clients all over the United States for airports, cities, and private business enterprises.

The devastation of the hurricanes in our Southeastern states has impacted many individuals, leaving many people with injuries, loss of loved ones, and catastrophic damage to properties. In this time of need, we are hoping to help relieve some of the distress and provide hope to the communities that have been impacted. We have partnered with Tenet to provide items for relief, and this opportunity is open to the community for any donations! Kivi Bros Trucking Inc will be delivering the trailers of donations from Duluth directly to the hurricane victims. The photo below provides more information on drop off locations and items that are needed, and donations will be accepted until October 20th. All donations make a difference, and we know that our community is amazing! Let's help make an impact for these hurricane victims!

A waterfront reconstruction project has been taking place behind the DECC in Duluth, and we have had the opportunity to work alongside Rachel Contracting and Wren Works to help create an improved space for the public as well as a more weather-resistant seawall along the harbor. Upon completion, this reconstruction project will provide new pathways for both pedestrians and bicyclists, a direct path linking Canal Park to other attractions such as Bayfront Festival Park, space for cruise ships to dock directly onto the new seawall, as well as provide infrastructure in the area with more protection from flooding.

This week we were able to complete our curb work at the MN Discovery Center in Chisholm. This 550' of curb will follow the edge of the pond that has been built during this project by VEIT, and will provide the banks surrounding the pond with protection from water erosion.

?? Schroeder, MN Over the past few weeks, we have been busy working with Atlas Foundation Company to complete transmission line foundations for Minnesota Power. These foundations will connect the supports of the transmission lines to the ground below, and provide Minnesota Power with the opportunity to expand their setup at this substation.

The Minnesota Discovery Center in Chisholm is dedicated to preserving and promoting the history and the culture of the Iron Range within its museums, exhibits, and research center. This center prides itself on telling the story of the Iron Range through its mines, its land, and its people, and we are honored to have a role in preserving this center. Our current project at the Minnesota Discovery Center is focused on pond and concrete weir rebuilds, which will help to maintain this center for its continued use. We have been working on weir walls over the past couple of weeks, and will also be doing some curb work around the ponds. VEIT
