As Surveyors Week comes to a close, we’re highlighting another one of the exciting projects our survey team is working on—the new bridge on the Iron Horse Trail over Bollinger Canyon Road! This bridge, part of the Overcrossings Project, is designed to enhance safety and accessibility for pedestrians and cyclists. The project will help eliminate unsafe crossings, encourage bike and pedestrian use, and create a safer route for nearby schools. It is rewarding to be able to be a part of the many projects that are enhancing bike/ped safety in the community Thanks for following along! #HMHca #SurveyorsWeek

Happy Surveyors Week! We’re celebrating our incredible survey crew and the impactful projects they work on! One of their latest projects is the Mosquito Road Bridge Project—a 1,200-foot-long cast-in-place balanced cantilever bridge towering 300 feet above the South Fork American River gorge near Placerville, CA. This project includes designing and installing access roads and two temporary crane trestles to support construction. The bridge’s two main piers stand an impressive 230 feet tall! Beyond its engineering marvel, this bridge will provide a crucial connection between Swansboro and Placerville, improving emergency response and wildfire access for the community. Stay tuned as we highlight more of our survey team’s amazing work! #HMHca #SurveyorsWeek

Celebrating Arborist Week! This week, we’re shining a spotlight on our incredible arborist, Anne Carney, who brings expertise to every project! In these photos, Anne is out in the field, assessing trees as part of an arborist report which is an essential step when properties undergo development or redevelopment. Cities and municipalities often require these reports to evaluate existing trees, ensuring proper care and compliance with local regulations. During an assessment, Anne examines each tree’s species, trunk diameter, height, canopy size, and overall health, structure, and form. She also documents her findings with photos and creates a detailed tree map. The report includes recommendations for tree protection during construction and ongoing maintenance to keep the greenery thriving. This particular project is right here in San Jose, and we’re excited to see it take shape! #HMHca #ArboristWeek2025
