We just finished our ForEVer Hyundai Motor Company (?????) North American dealer meeting and I’m more confident than ever in the collaborative partnership we have with our wonderful dealer partners. ? We showed some thrilling new vehicles for both Hyundai and Genesis. ? And we outlined our mid-to-long term plan we call “The Hyundai Way,” which includes $90 billion in investments by 2033, 21 new EVs by 2030, doubling our hybrid offerings to 14 from 7, new Extended Range EVs, faster charging batteries with longer range, along with a host of technologies and initiatives designed to benefit our customers.? ? Our dealers do a great job of putting the customer at the center of everything we do. Thanks to the great partnership we have, North America contributes more to the company globally than any other region. ? I leave the meeting with a renewed sense of energy and possibility. ? Hyundai Motor Company (?????)’s new IONIQ 5 EV comes equipped with a NACS charger (faster charging with 17,000+ additional chargers), more battery range, a rugged XRT option and it qualifies for a $3,750 tax credit.?It’s the first vehicle produced at Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America (HMGMA), our new Metaplant in Georgia. And for our IONIQ 5 N high performance EV, we’re giving customers their choice of a ChargePoint Home Flex Level 2 charger or a $450 charging credit. We’re giving customers more of what they want: a more convenient and robust charging experience and more hybrid versions of our vehicles as well. Taking care of customers will be a big theme for both Hyundai and Genesis at our North American Dealer Meeting this week. I’m looking forward to seeing so many long-time friends in the industry, showing them a preview of some of the exciting new products in the pipeline and sharing best practices. Piecing together the future! ?? After stamping, the vehicle’s journey continues in welding, where our skilled team and cutting-edge tech work hand in hand to assemble vehicle bodies with precision. It’s like putting together a jigsaw puzzle. Unlike traditional vehicle manufacturers, HMGMA doesn’t use conveyors. Instead, each piece is transported using Automatically Guided Vehicles or AGVs.
