Menopause impacts millions of women in the workforce, yet it remains one of the least discussed workplace topics. Ahead of #IWD2025, Fenwick is partnering with HLWF? Alliance, First Citizens Bank, and the National Menopause Foundation for "Cooling the Heat: Accelerating Action for Women in Midlife," addressing the workplace realities of menopause, raising awareness, and pushing for meaningful change. Fenwick partner Jennifer Yoo will moderate a panel diving into how employers can create supportive environments for employees navigating menopause. Huge congrats to my good friend Rajinder Rai PharmD on her brilliant event this weekend 'Woman in Bloom'. A room of 100+ women is a #powerful experience -- especially on a Saturday when you know everyone made a real choice to be there. ?? We made new friends and forged new #friendships. ?? We got into the weeds on #womenshealth - all the incredible progress and all the work still to be done. ?? We talked about money and capital - and why women are critical to the next wave of #wealth #generation. ?? And we watched The M Factor: Shredding the Silence on Menopause. It was a day filled with intention and #purpose, with light and #energy, and with focus and #fortitude. Tremendous #gratitude to everyone who made this day possible! And if you haven't see The M Factor: Shredding the Silence on Menopause yet, go see it! It's screening all over the country and available on PBS! #healthcare #womenshealth #innovation #midlife #notdoneyet #gamechangers #worldchangers #breakcycles #demandforwardprogress

?? In a world that often feels uncertain, it’s the resilience of young people that gives me hope. Hope isn’t just about believing in a better future—it’s about the people who fight to create one. And few people embody that spirit more than my godson, Kairav. Four years ago Kairav, was diagnosed with stage 4 Burkitt cancer. It was one of those moments that stops everything—the fear, the helplessness, the endless hospital visits. No child should ever have to face that battle. But if there’s one thing you should know about Kairav, it’s that he is a fighter. And he didn’t just fight—he won. Now, four years in remission, Kairav isn’t just looking ahead—he’s looking outward. He’s on a mission to change the world and ensure that no child has to endure what he did. And because of that determination, he’s taken on a new challenge: he is competing to be the Student Visionary of the Year for the The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society ????Through the Student Visionaries of the Year campaign, young leaders like Kairav take on the bold challenge of raising as much as possible for blood cancer research and patient support. And in true Kairav fashion, he’s set a huge goal: he’s leading Team Conquer Cancer to raise $15,000 between 2/6/25 - 3/29/25. ??I have no doubt he will succeed—because that’s who Kairav is. Resilient, thoughtful, and fiercely determined. But also? Unapologetically competitive. In case you were wondering, yes, he still absolutely destroys me in basketball, FIFA, and every game we play. And to make matters worse, he’s a die-hard Seahawks fan, which means I have to endure his unwavering (and often wildly optimistic) takes on their Super Bowl chances—every single year. But if there’s anyone I’ll gladly take a loss from, it’s Kairav—because he’s fighting a battle that truly matters. ??I hope you’ll join me in supporting his mission. Whether it’s through a donation, spreading the word, or simply cheering him on, every bit of support helps fund the breakthroughs that will ensure no child has to fight this battle alone. Let’s show Kairav that just like he never gives up on the Seahawks, we’ll never give up on this fight. ????Donate ! Share ! Spread the word ! You can support Kairav and Team Conquer Cancer here: https://lnkd.in/g6rJbSX7 ??????Because cancer doesn’t stand a chance against fighters like Kairav. #KairavStrong #ConquerCancer #EndChildhoodCancer #LLS

It makes me so happy to see how much attention Menopause is now FINALLY getting. Since 2017, Joylux, Inc and I have been tirelessly working to break this taboo and draw attention to the importance of health care during this important phase of a women's life. I'm thrilled to be joining this awesome group of Menopause entrepreneurs and advocates to bring more light to Menopause. If you are in Seattle, come join us! #menopause #internationalwomensday #femtech #womenshealth
Approximately 1.3 million women in the U.S. will enter menopause each year and 20% of?the workforce are in some phase of menopause transition, yet the word “menopause” is?rarely uttered, and seldom heard, in workplaces across the country. Often felt to be “too?personal” or “taboo,” employees and employers are simply not talking about it. There’s a 73-point gap between HR benefit managers (76%) who say they discuss menopause-related issues with employees and female employees (3%) who say they have talked about menopause with HR. Aligning with this year's International Women's Day theme of "Accelerating Action, we are bringing together world-class experts, and companies, startups innovating in this space. We are looking forward to turning the?insights from this event into actions that can help women in all life stages bring their best selves to work HLWF? Alliance is excited to team with Fenwick & West, First Citizens Bank and National Menopause Foundation and grateful for their generous sponsorship of our signature #IWD2025 event! Healthcare data is one of the most valuable assets for modern medicine. Today, healthcare data is used in various ways, from diagnosing illnesses to improving treatments to managing public health more efficiently. However, with the rapid growth of artificial intelligence (AI), the future promises even more innovative applications that could revolutionize healthcare. Many start-ups are lining up to help the healthcare industry solve complex problems by evaluating its data and using AI/ML. But first, it’s essential to understand the types of data in healthcare and where the key challenges lie. In this article published in HLWF? Alliance this week, I discuss the types of data, how this data is utilized, and the challenges we can solve in healthcare. Thanks to the HLWF? Alliance and the experts for the insightful discussions that contributed to this article's insights. Melissa Lee, Stacey W., Sunny Lee, Rashmi R.
