Bolt-M, the munition variant, equips ground forces with simple, reliable, and lethal precision firepower on-demand. Modern conflicts demonstrate how man-portable, tactical loitering munitions provide asymmetric advantage to dismounted forces. While effective, first-person view (FPV) drones require highly-skilled pilots to successfully find and strike targets. Modern ground forces need large numbers of low-cost, lightweight, and reliable loitering munitions that don't require specialized operators. That is precisely what Bolt-M delivers. Thanks to the?Royal Australian Air Force, Ghost Shark took a trip across the Pacific in a C-17 to the US for RIMPAC. With the first Ghost Shark in Australia and the second in the United States, testing will happen on both sides of the Pacific. Ghost, Anduril’s small uncrewed aircraft system, has been added to the Defense Innovation Unit (DIU)’s Blue UAS Cleared List. This will enable us to deliver critical capabilities to our national security partners with greater speed and security. Ghost is Anduril’s autonomous sUAS, built to provide reconnaissance and targeting, electronic warfare, network extension, and effects close to the tactical edge. In close collaboration with government and industry partners, Anduril continues to enhance Ghost’s payload options, contested environment capabilities, and open extensible software. Today, we are announcing a new manufacturing facility for large scale production of Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs) in Quonset Point, Rhode Island. By investing in a scaled production facility ahead of need, Anduril will be able to stay ahead of customer demand and deliver on orders of the Dive-LD family of AUVs with unprecedented speed. The 150,000 square foot production facility will enable Anduril to immediately increase production capacity for its Dive-LD family of AUVs to more than 200 hulls per year. The factory announcement comes amid growing demand from defense and commercial customers for Anduril's AUVs. For example, the?US Navy?recently awarded Anduril an $18.6 million contract for an initial buy of Dive AUVs through the?Defense Innovation Unit (DIU)'s Large Displacement Unmanned Underwater Vehicles (LDUUV) prototyping effort. AUVs are transforming maritime deterrence by providing an affordable, distributed, and adaptable undersea capability that complements the U.S. and allied submarine fleet. Developing, manufacturing, and fielding these systems at scale on an operationally-relevant timeline will be critical. https://lnkd.in/eXruJWqg
