Community development is often a matter of connecting the dots between the excellent ideas of residents, the orgs who can execute the idea, and the funding that can support the execution. But it all starts with ideas of people who see a possibility in a place they care about deeply. So we created a tool to gather all of these ideas! Please click the link below and enter YOUR community development idea into the form submission on the HKM Interact page. Your idea will be added to the HKM People, Places, and Possibilities map, and HKM will start looking for the other connections necessary to grow that idea into a community asset. We can't wait to hear your ideas! https://lnkd.in/gfzsk5Dc

She’s a beaut! Mount Holiday, our favorite Traverse City-based non-profit outdoor recreation hub, is getting a brand new pump station. More pumping power means more snow production! This #infrastructure investment will position “The Hill” to increase the quality and quantity of affordable #snowsports for regional youth, families, and tourists this winter. HKM & Associates was thrilled to support this project through #grantwriting

Today is Orange Shirt Day, symbolizing the struggle for truth and reconciliation by indigenous peoples in the aftermath of the brutal experience of residential schools throughout North America. Native News Online has an excellent primer on the symbolism and activism of Orange Shirt Day: https://lnkd.in/gsg_erBF
