Along with Tazergy CEO, Matt Haywood, he will be a panelist on two separate sessions: “High Tech Low Profile: Designing Zen Inspirational Living” and “Smart Senior Living 2.0”. The sessions will focus on the design and implementation of low voltage technology and smart technology, respectively, as applied to senior care settings. We couldn’t be prouder of our work with Jefferson Union High School District on the new Adult Education Building and District Office Building in Daly City. The 39,000 square-foot Adult Education building features a variety of flexible classrooms, workrooms, and breakout spaces dedicated to the Adult Education and Adult Transition programs. The two-story, 30,000 square-foot District Office building serves the District’s administrative team, and is designed with ample open workspaces, offices, conference rooms, lounge areas, flexible training facility, and state-of-the-art Boardroom. The buildings are ZNE designed, all-electric, operationally carbon neutral, and are targeted for LEED Gold certification. The Culinary Arts and Science Classroom Building at Rio Vista High School is a new facility that supports hands-on skill building and learning. The Culinary Arts classroom is designed as an innovative demonstration space where students can practice their cooking skills. The Science classroom is a fully-equipped and safe environment for applied experimentation in chemistry, biology, physics, and physiology. The building is designed for maximum daylight and taking advantage of the breezes from the nearby Sacramento River delta. George E. We're excited to share the completion of Sleepy Hollow Elementary School’s new Multipurpose Building! ? This facility, created in collaboration with Orinda Union School District, creates a secure and welcoming entrance to the campus. Replacing the former 1950s building, which was deemed unsafe due to potential wildfires, the new 3,360 SF structure is designed as a hub for activities and gatherings and a temporary shelter during fire emergencies. It features a stage with a folding partition, a full cooking kitchen, a basketball court, and in-wall cafeteria tables. Large roll-up doors connect indoor and outdoor spaces, opening to a shaded courtyard. Santa Clara County welcomes a new affordable senior living community with the addition of Morgan Hill Senior Housing! ? This community-focused environment is designed to support low-income seniors, including those facing challenges such as homelessness, disabilities, poverty, and institutional residency. The three-story, fully electric building features 81 one-bedroom apartments and is equipped with rooftop photovoltaic solar panels to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and air pollution. Fully walkable, the community is conveniently located near shops, restaurants, and essential services. ? That’s a wrap at Brooklyn Basin! Foon Lok East is our fourth project in partnership with MidPen Housing Corporation and the final affordable housing development within Oakland’s Brooklyn Basin community is officially complete! Inspired by the Cantonese phrase meaning “joyous community” and adjoining the first phase, Foon Lok West, Foon Lok East offers 124 affordable housing units with a range of shared amenities, including a spacious community room with spectacular views of Oakland’s historic waterfront, a computer lab, a learning/childcare center, and secured bicycle parking. The central courtyard features an active and passive space with landscaped mounds, generous seating areas, a playground, and a BBQ area for residents to enjoy. Foon Lok East features an array of original artwork, including pieces by Civic Design Studio students, local art from SLATE Art Consulting, and a custom mural by Cece Carpio. The artwork and murals depict the beautiful flora, fauna, and the cultural history of the region. The project is a bittersweet conclusion to such an amazing journey with an incredible team and partners who made affordable housing at Brooklyn Basin a reality!
