Had an incredible AF talk with my friends at Valerie yesterday about what they are looking to do in service of and with this industry we refer to as advertising. Why does this get me excited? Well: 1. Proof positive that there is more room for ALL of us to build and succeed in this industry. 2. Proof that there are people who genuinely are ready, willing and extremely able to put the work in to get things done right. 3. Proof that the need to look at culture in the right way yields the type of results that businesses want. These may have been things that I already knew about Kai Deveraux Lawson, Simeon Coker, and Tracey Busch because I know them in real life. However, seeing it in action is more exciting than just knowing the potential. Next, a nod to Indie Agency News HQ and Portland! Welcoming Coe Lottis and the team from The Program. We're excited to know their work and, since they're in the Rose City, there will be some IRL! We then head to Detroit, baby! We couldn't be happier that Lafayette American, a Top 40 winner, is joining the ranks. They join D/CAL as the second member in that great city! Next up? We bop down to San Francisco and Austin and the multi-award-winning indie stalwart, Erich & Kallman. We got a chance to get to know Steven Erich and are excited to tap into him and his team's expertise and leadership. Not our first Canadian member, but our first in the amazing city of Vancouver. We send an Indie Agency News high-five to Definitely Real Agency, Danielle McNeill, Alexis Young and the crew. Finally, we keep it Pacific Northwest and OKAYBRO.
