We put women at the center of our care and guide them during every step of their recovery. At Hitchcock Center for Women in Cleveland’s Hough-Glenville neighborhood, we help women break the cycle of substance abuse in a safe, supportive, and comfortable environment that promotes healing. Our care team recognizes that addiction affects women differently than men and that trauma, abuse, and mental health issues often accompany their addiction or are the root cause of it. Women also face different challenges when trying to get the help they desperately need. Mothers battling addiction shouldn’t have to choose between getting treatment and taking care of their children. We are one of the only residential treatment centers in the region where a woman can stay with her children (up to age 12) while she is receiving treatment. This unique accommodation helps keep families together and prevents additional trauma from separation.

Hitchcock Center for Women has been awarded the State Opioid and Stimulant Response Grant by the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services! We are deeply grateful for this $275,000 grant, which will help us achieve certification through Ohio Recovery Housing and expand the number of recovery housing beds in our community. Thank you, Ohio Department of Mental Health & Addiction Services, for supporting our mission and helping us create a stronger foundation for recovery in Northeast Ohio!
