Spend Martin Luther King Jr. Day exploring Historic King Drive. The King Drive Tour is available to download on the Historic Milwaukee app (Apple and Google Play). The tour was developed in partnership with the King Drive BID and features public art, history, small businesses and more. The King Drive App Tour, was made possible with funding from Bader Philanthropies as well as grant funding from the Milwaukee Arts Board and Wisconsin Arts Board with funds from the State of Wisconsin and the National Endowment for the Arts. Historic Milwaukee is hosting a unique rappelling event to commemorate our organization's 50th anniversary this week! Not planning to rappel? We invite you to join and cheer on rappelers on Friday and Sunday! Friday, Sept 20, 4 pm - 6 pm - VIP Rappel Day with Bango! We will kick off the event on Friday with eight VIP rappelers including: The Milwaukee Buck's Bango; Milwaukee Fire Dept. Chief Aaron Lipski; aerial photographer Isaac Rowlett; GM of the Milwaukee Athletic Club Tom Hughes, Executive Director of Milwaukee Turners Emilio De Torre; Matt Wild from the Milwaukee Record; Kristin Brey from As Goes Wisconsin; and Claire Koenig, VP of Communications & Advocacy for Visit Milwaukee. ck Sunday, Sept 22, 10 am - 2 pm, Mayor Johnson to Rappel!
