HACU Director of State Government Relations Noemi Lujan Perez with Washington State Representative Alex Ybarra from the 13th Legislative District at the Pacific Northwest Hydrogen Hub Forum that discussed a $5.8 billion project that will create 10,000+ quality jobs and open doors for Hispanic and diverse communities through the Community Benefit Program.

Yesterday I had an amazing time at Austin Community College. Thank you for partnering with Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) for an inspiring leadership summit. I appreciated the insight on the multiple ways the teamwork makes the dream work! Not just my dreams, but everybody is counting on each other, even when we may not notice. I would like to thank both Angel Diaz and Angelica J. for the incredible company you provided. It was a privilege to meet you, and I truly enjoyed our conversations. Cannot wait for us all to get lunch!

Our students learned from Leaders at?ACC Career Services?,?Fannie Mae?UFCU?University Federal Credit Union, Financial Aid,? yesenia rivera,?and many more. Our volunteers rocked: Yesica Diaz,?Christopher Rzigalinski, Irene Castillo Alonso, Valerie Rodriguez, our mentors, and? many others. It was wonderful to see Jose Arce Daniel Rangel, ACC SGA Members, and my mentee Elisha Mac Gregor; you deserve the world! Eres un sol!

We just wrapped up one of the most exciting events during Hispanic Heritage Month at Austin Community College. The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) Emerging Leaders' Summit, hosted at ACC, opened doors to countless academic opportunities for over 100 students. From engaging employer panels to interactive workshops, opportunities were abundant. HACU sponsored three students through a raffle at the summit, giving them the opportunity to attend the 38th Annual HACU Conference in Aurora, Colorado, in November 2024. Thank you to the ACC leadership who said YES and helped make this happen! Juntos, we are creating the next generation of leaders and are excited to continue collaborating with HACU to empower our students.
