Mark walked into the South Dallas Community Market for food, but found a place that brought his heart to life. He knows our neighbors’ struggles, as South Dallas is a food desert. He now serves others in the same Market every week! Through partnership with Brother Bill's Helping Hand, this thriving Market is a lighthouse of help in Bonton+Ideal, restoring food access for our neighbors. We hope all can see the hope that captivated Mark. Catch up on Mark’s story at bridgebuilders.org/yearend

As we give thanks this month, we look at the blessing of our building at 5210 Bexar Street. We're #Thankful to God and the City of Dallas for the space to house the residential tenants, the barbershop, South Dallas Community Market, South Dallas Driving Academy, and even more to come!

One very important partnership in the South Dallas Community Market is the tax consultant who has been helping our neighbors save money- an average of $8,000 per neighbor! So far, over 100 neighbors have received this critical assistance. We're so thankful for Will Toler of the Toler Company and Brother Bill's Helping Hand for caring for South Dallas residents so well!

Dallas United For Good embodies the heart of South Dallas. It isn’t just an organization; it’s a passionate movement working to create lasting change in our city. We believe that community-anchored leaders don’t just deserve a seat at the table; the table itself should be set in their homes, where their voices, experiences, and solutions are at the forefront. BridgeBuilders and Hope Cottage, Inc work together every week to bring South Dallas parents new access and opportunities at the South Dallas Community Market. Through parenting classes and support, special shopping hours for parents, and free donated items such as diapers and wipes, we’re seeing an impact that reaches far! We’re not stopping there! Your gift for North Texas Giving Day will help expand this market space to impact more parents. Links to give: https://lnkd.in/gDnzKJtq https://lnkd.in/gJb4iCwG
