Revolutionizing Infrastructure Repair with Geopolymer Spincast Technology As infrastructure across the Southeast continues to age and cities become more congested, rehabilitation has become the preferred method of extending the lifetime expectancy of pipelines. Hinterland's EcoShield geopolymer rehabilitation system is an excellent solution for pipelines with access issues, multiple blind turns, roads blocking above ground bypass, and congested areas that would pose a problem for traditional over-the-hole CIPP setup. Recently, Hinterland Group was contracted to rehabilitate over 1400' of deteriorated 66" CMP and recommended EcoShield, their geopolymer spincast application, as a way to extend the lifetime expectancy of the pipe at least 50 more years. EcoShield utilizes GeoTree's patented geopolymer product for its rapid installation, exceptional strength and durability, and resistance to gases present in sewer and stormwater systems. This system required minimal above ground footprint, no road closings for bypass, and was able to be returned to service each evening during the 3 week process.
