The Hines Management Services team recently returned from a successful weekend at the 2024 CoreNet Global Summit in Washington D.C. This year's event came at a critical point for the Office sector. Team members Ronen Journo, Andrew Cooke, and Bailey Ramsey participated in lively panel discussions on wide-ranging topics, including how the psychological purpose of the workplace is shifting to fit a new, distributed way of life and how investors are shifting priorities in response to new tenant demands. #CNG24DC #Corenet #ManagementServices

For a limited time, South Station Tower is home to one of the largest public art installations in Boston. We recently partnered with Pelli Clarke & Partners and ArtLifting to bring a nearly 6,500-square-foot reproduction of Emerald Tree by Boston-based artist Allen Chamberland to Atlantic Avenue. Mere steps from the Rose Kennedy Greenway, the design is meant to immerse passersby in an artistic landscape surrounding the final stages of construction. Co-founded by Liz Powers in 2013 after she’d spent time as a social worker in Boston, Artlifting seeks to provide an avenue for empowerment and validation for artists impacted by housing insecurity and disabilities. Today, we honor Veterans Day, Armistice Day, Remembrance Day, and all that they symbolize: honoring those who have served and sacrificed in the armed forces. Members of our Alliance for Veteran Engagement (AVE) employee resource group shared stories to remind us why celebrating service is so important: Tim Monger-Godfrey - “The core values of integrity, courage, teamwork, and respect that I uphold as a serving British Army Reserve officer are fully aligned with how we work at Hines. These leadership principles help constantly drive performance within myself and my team, creating better outcomes for our buildings and our investors." Flora Castillo - "I was an Air Traffic Controller in the US Navy for 7 years. My time in the service taught me to make swift decisions under pressure while using creative solutions. It taught me to communicate and coordinate with others to increase efficiency at work. I also learned my love for helping others to understand difficult processes. These skills continue to help me further my contribution to the team." Eddie Ashford - "All the skills acquired during my six years in the US Navy almost directly translate into my career with Hines in one way or another. Reading floor plans, reading equipment technical documents and user manuals, operating the chiller plant, programming control sequences, isolating energy sources for equipment tag-outs and performing administrative tasks, to name a few, can all be attributed to my skillset developed over the six years I was serving. I am thankful for my experiences in the Navy and am thankful for Hines’ acknowledgement of veterans such as myself." Brian Chadwick - "The Marine Corps has eleven leadership principles – I keep a copy of them at my desk. Like the military, real estate is a team sport that requires tremendous flexibility. I try to bring that mindset to the teams I work with at Hines every day – improvise, adapt, and overcome!” #VeteransDay #ArmisticeDay #RemembranceDay
