Hey #waterfirst buddies - Strength ain't just about size ?? My poor son got the wrong genes. When I got my license - at 16 - I was NOT YET 5 feet tall, NOR did I yet cross 100 pounds on the scale. I think they wrote the phrase 98lb weakling about yours truly. Then my junior year, I grew, gained 35 lbs is 5-6 months. But even still - I'm no giant SO! When my 15-year-old son set his sights on becoming a lifeguard, he had one big worry—his size. Like me, he’s on the smaller side, and he he was pretty worried about passing the various weighted swim tests - like carrying 20lbs with both hands while swimming the length of the pool - legs only. You know what I'm gonna say next - here’s the thing about strength: it’s not just about muscle—it’s about grit, training, and mindset. So we got to work. He trained hard, focused on technique, and built endurance. We spent ALOT of time talking about how you cant win an argument with the devil in your mind. You gotta kill him and move on. He didn’t just want to keep up—he wanted to excel. And when it came time for the most brutal test—he didn’t just survive it. He outperformed most of the bigger guys in the class. He learned something powerful: what you lack in size, you can make up for in preparation, resilience, and heart. That lesson goes beyond the pool. Proud DAD doesn’t even begin to describe it. AND, if he'd failed to pass, no worries - we'd grab a ride on the bikes, go out for a burger, and see what comes up tomorrow #GrowthMindset #HardWorkPaysOff #LifeguardTraining #Resilience #ProudDad

Humans are AIMING creatures....All of life is a series of aim taking journeys towards some sort of target that you have explicitly or implicitly chosen. Imagine trying to hit a target 1,000 yards away. That’s over half a mile. The tiniest miscalculation—a slight tremor, a breath taken at the wrong moment, or an imperceptible shift in the wind—means you miss by feet, not inches. Here’s a fact that might surprise you about sharp shooting with a rifle: 1 MOA (Minute of Angle) is just 1.047 inches at 100 yards. This one measurement of accuracy in the shooting sports. OFF by 1 MOA? Maybe that's no big deal at 100 yards - just off by an inch! But at 1,000 yards? That same 1 MOA translates to a miss of 10.5 FEET. That’s the power of precision—of getting your AIM right from the very beginning. Now think about this beyond the rifle range. How often do we set our goals, strategies, or visions just a little off at the start? A small misalignment today—whether in your family, career, leadership, or business—can mean missing your target completely down the road. Here’s the takeaway: Fine-tune your AIM early. Small adjustments today prevent big misses tomorrow. Recalibrate constantly. Wind shifts, terrain changes, and conditions evolve. Your strategy should too. Don’t assume small errors don’t matter. At a short distance, they seem insignificant. Over time, they compound into failure. ?? How do you ensure your aim is true in your business and life?

Smart Planning = Project Success ?? The first 20% of project planning determines?the next 80% of the project. Thoughtful water-conscious irrigation design starts with: ? Establishing clear goals ? Strategic planning ? Data-driven decision-making Skipping these steps? That’s like?building on a shaky foundation. Invest in the right planning now for long-lasting results later. #WaterFirst
