We are now accepting applications / nominations for our upcoming CVC Ecosystem Development Program in Uganda, set-up by Science, Technology and Innovation Secretariat of Uganda + NSTEI-SEP, and implemented by Startup Réseau + Hindsight Ventures. Horizon 3.0 is a multi-stage program to nurture the corporate venture capital ecosystem in Uganda. The structured program aims to (a) enable access, (b) by multiplying exposure, and (c) providing a booster. If you are a Ugandan corporation or public investment fund seeking to apply for this "fully funded" program, here's what you will get: Phase-1: Knowledge Workshop driven by 3-4 leading proponents and experts run over 2-days in Kampala, to provide an overview of corporate venture capital with a case-study based approach. Phase-2: Global Virtual Exposure Series with pre-recorded and live interactive sessions, giving participants a broader understanding of the global corporate venture capital scene, driving a conversation with leaders from diverse industries and stages of evolution and deployments. This Tuesday, we proudly wrapped up the Ninja Acceleration Program for Growth Stage Startups in #Uganda, culminating in an exciting Grand Demo Day in Kampala. The Ninja Accelerator is an initiative by Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and the Ministry of Trade Industry and Cooperatives, in partnership with AAIC | Asia Africa Investment & Consulting and executed by Hindsight Ventures. We were thrilled to host over 120 in-person attendees and 170 virtual attendees from across the globe—including Kenya, South Africa, Japan, Morocco, Ghana, the UK, the USA, India, and beyond—to witness the impressive pitches from 10 startups who completed a rigorous 3-month program.
