Chief Health Information & Data Strategy Officer | Health information executive, data champion, and strategic leader moving the needle for safety, access, experience, and interoperability
Since June, the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) has partnered with Guidehouse Health and HIMSS on an exhaustive effort assessing DHSS' digital maturity and pursuing the next steps on our digital transformation journey.?The third phase of the project included statewide listening sessions with opportunities to engage across a wide range of community organizations and external collaborators possessing the knowledge, experience, and insight vital to informed discussions and feedback regarding the #publichealth data landscape in the Show Me State. Last week marked the fifth and final wave of these efforts. The team travelled more than 2,500 miles over four weeks and engaged with well over 200 organizations across 25 meetings in nine distinct regions chosen deliberately to maximize inclusion and assure the broadest representation. The DHSS team is also immensely proud of our partnership with Guidehouse and the HIMSS team for the first use of the Digital Health Indicator tool in state-level public health within the United States. https://lnkd.in/eSmrvuRU We look forward to sharing our findings in early 2025 after finalizing the analysis and recommendations from the data landscape survey, maturity evaluation, and strategic assessment efforts. While this project continues, many thanks to the DHSS team members who participated in internal meetings and shaped external engagement with a special shout-out to the "Five Musketeers" - Zach Kempf, MPH, Travis West, Ryan Marsch, Shanna West, and Susan Dulle. Other essential contributors to our success have included Laura Kliethermes, PMP, Brenna Davidson, Sarah Bashore, Tiffany Bayer, and Nicole Cooper among so many. We would also not have achieved our progress to this point without our exceptional vendor partnerships led by the dynamic team of James Howgate, Anne Snowdon, Tamyra Porter, Jamin Barber, Sydney Pedraza, Madison Dyer, Sarah Ekart, and others. #dataleadership #futurehealth #roadtoawesome #bethedifference
