Welcome to the team, Michael S.! Born in Germany, Michael’s journey spans continents and diverse experiences. He served six years as an airborne infantryman in the German Armed Forces, building discipline and resilience. Afterward, he earned a Bachelor’s in Civil and Infrastructure Engineering with a minor in Environmental Engineering from George Mason University and became a Certified Construction Manager (CCM). With experience as an owner, general contractor, construction manager, and engineer, Michael thrives in managing complex mega projects. Outside work, he enjoys outdoor adventures with his wife and two daughters and values a balanced, active lifestyle. Welcome to team GSD, Michael!

Meredith's background includes working in various Operations, Self-Perform Concrete Operations, Concrete Estimating, and Stakeholder Alignment roles across a range of market sectors including Government, Military, Mission Critical, Higher Ed, Healthcare, and Infrastructure. She becomes energized when working with clients, values stakeholder relationships, and prides herself on finding data-driven solutions for the teams that she works with. Meredith graduated from Cornell University with a degree in Civil Engineering and has a passion for concrete. When not in the office, Meredith can be found reading, exercising, solving puzzles, playing the cello, and listening to true crime podcasts. Welcome to Team GSD!

Our teammates Brittany Angle, PE, Tami Rocha, MBA, Allie Lemberger, Cassandra Bard, and Lauren Duvall proudly volunteered with Camp NAWIC last week! Camp NAWIC is a free, week-long day camp for girls in grades 7-12. The camp introduces these young women to the exciting possibilities in the construction industry.   The campers spent one of their days with Himes’ client, Baltimore Gas and Electric (BGE) to learn about site safety, the importance of proper PPE, drone and video pipe inspections, heavy equipment, lasers, and the variety of career paths available within the BGE organization.   NAWIC Baltimore Chapter #135 is inspiring the next generation of women in construction and Himes was proud and humbled to support their positive impacts!
