Palmer House, a Hilton Hotel hosted Junior Council's annual black tie fundraising gala, Snowball, with over 1,000 attendees to benefit Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago. Congrats to all who contributed to make this gala a success and helped it to meet the fundraising milestone of $212K.

Celebrating International Women's Day by highlighting one of the many, impressive women who works at the Hiltons of Chicago—Misoon Kong, who was recently featured on the cover of March's edition of Meetings Today. The magazine highlights her journey over the years in the hospitality industry, including her becoming the first female and immigrant GM in Hilton Chicago's nearly 100-year history. "My advice to aspiring leaders is to never stop dreaming, but remember—a dream without a plan is just a wish. During the Hilton Americas Leadership Conference this year, Konstantine Drosos, General Manager of Palmer House, a Hilton Hotel, was awarded one of Hilton’s most prestigious awards, General Manager of the Year. This award is a testament to his dedication and hard work, as well as his accumulation of more than 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry with Hilton across Illinois and California. Konstantine recently returned to Palmer House last year, and formerly served as Hotel Manager of the hotel from 2013 to 2014. Kudos to Gus for receiving this award and hats off to his continued passion, discipline, and commitment to the hospitality industry and Palmer House as General Manager.?

Hilton Chicago is excited to announce the appointment of Misoon Kong as General Manager. Misoon is the first woman to hold this prestigious role in the hotel’s 97-year history. In her new role, she will oversee all aspects of hotels operations and provide comprehensive leadership to uphold Hilton's commitment to delivering exceptional guest services and achieving financial success for the 1,544 guest room?hotel, which features more than 234,000 sq. ft. of meeting space. Misoon brings more than 20 years of hotel industry knowledge and expertise to her new role at Hilton Chicago. An avid dog aficionado, she is eager to begin exploring Chicago with her 160 pound Saint Bernard, Noah, who has been bestowed the honor of Hilton Chicago’s resident VIP (very important pup).

Announcing the anticipated opening of Potter’s Bar, a throwback to the Prohibition era speakeasy that pays homage to this notorious period in Chicago’s illustrious history, at Palmer House, a Hilton Hotel. Potter’s Bar places a spotlight on the previously illicit spirits that form the basis of now-classic cocktails. It will have a “secret” menu that drops references to Al Capone and other notorious gangsters. The bar is scheduled to open Tuesday, April 16 on the hotel’s lobby level.
