Today, Hillsboro Medical Center had the immense privilege of hosting a delegation from the Japan Association for Development of Community Medicine (JADECOM). ? JADECOM is a large health care system that provides rural, community-based health care and education in Japan. ? In 2024, our Family Medicine Residency Program began welcoming JADECOM residents to train for four weeks every year at our community hospital. In return, each year one of our residents completes training in a rural setting with JADECOM for two weeks.?? ? Hillsboro Medical Center is proud to be a part of this meaningful clinical and cultural exchange. Thank you for visiting us, JADECOM!

This #ThankfulThursday, we are recognizing Hillsboro Medical Center’s Improving Addiction Care Team (IMPACT). Since IMPACT was established three years ago, this incredible team has served over 1,200 patients in their substance abuse goals. This multiple disciplinary team of addiction medicine physicians, a social worker and a peer recovery support specialist transforms the lives of our patients. We thank them for the invaluable difference they make every day. ?
