Last month, Armstrong World Industries in Hilliard hosted U.S. Representative Michael T.W. Carey for a tour showcasing AWI’s expanding manufacturing expertise. The visit showcased the culture, capabilities and innovative technology that distinguish the Hilliard plant and AWI, which is among the oldest manufacturing companies in the U.S. Hilliard is proud to be home to innovators like Armstrong!

Comunale Co., Inc., an EMCOR Group, Inc. company, held its grand opening event Thursday at its newest location, 3709 Parkway Lane, near I-270. ??The company specializes in fire sprinkler systems, alarm and detection, extinguishers, service and inspection, and more. Founded in 1973, S.A. Comunale now has 15 locations nationwide, working across virtually every market sector with experience in every type of facility. ??The Hilliard location employs more than 150 people, and its new 19,000-square-foot building includes more than 12,000-square-feet of warehouse space to accommodate future growth. ??"We're so happy to be here in Hilliard, and this large facility is just what we needed," CEO Steve Comunale said. City Manager Michelle Crandall represented Hilliard at the event this week in Barcelona, Spain. Our community was a Top7 finalist and recognized as one of the most intelligent communities in the world. ??The ICF Global Summit focused on how innovative cities and regions are using the latest technology to benefit their residents and employers. The theme centered around turning the challenges of today into tomorrow's economic, social, and cultural opportunities. Hilliard was one of only two U.S. cities named finalists in 2024.
