Jewish students are scoring BIG wins on campus! ?? Here’s how: ? Penn is launching a first-ever Office of Religious and Ethnic Inclusion to tackle antisemitism and offer better support for Jewish students. ? Tufts University introduces an antisemitism workshop during student orientation, focusing on empathy and understanding. ? The San Francisco Jewish Community Federation is increasing funding by 40% for five Northern California Hillels: Berkeley Hillel, Hillel at Stanford, SF Hillel, Hillel at Davis and Sacramento, and Sonoma County Hillel. We’re putting in the work, and we’re helping to make meaningful changes. These are wins that will support Jewish students for years to come.

Today, we remember all the lives lost on 9/11. We remember the heroes who sacrificed their lives to save others. We remember the resilience our country has shown in the face of adversity and tragedy.

Access to a warm, welcoming, supportive Jewish community on a college campus has never been more important than it is today. And Louis Rabinowitz (Louie) knew that. Louie passed away last December, but left a legacy behind to open doors and empower Jewish college students. Future generations of Louis E. Rabinowitz Scholars will have an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the future of the Jewish people and the world while they grow intellectually, socially, and spiritually. The start of the new school year has brought so much joy, but also many challenges for Jewish college students. Our news roundup this week has the most important info from campuses across North America. Swipe ?? The TL;DR: ?? Two Jewish students were attacked at the University of Pittsburgh on their way to Shabbat dinner at Hillel. ?? Columbia University’s first day of class was disrupted by protests, and the historic Alma Mater statue was vandalized. ?? The University of Maryland reversed its decision to allow an anti-Israel protest on October 7th.
