Meet Rosa Moran, a Payment Analyst in our PPO department at Hill Physicians. Rosa began her journey in Customer Service, where her strong communication skills and passion for helping others made an immediate impact. But she didn’t stop there. “I wanted to grow in my career,†Rosa shares. “Becoming a Payment Analyst was a great opportunity to tap into more of my strengths—like problem-solving.†Rosa’s story is a reminder that growth comes from stepping outside your comfort zone. “If you start in an entry-level position, it doesn’t mean you have to stay there. Find a company that promotes growth from within.†She credits her mother for always encouraging her to explore her interests and dream big. And during #InternationalWomensMonth, she reflects on the importance of honoring the past while continuing to push for equality: “It’s a celebration of the women before me and their fight to give me the opportunities I currently have. We will continue to pass the baton from generation to generation.†?? #InternationalWomensMonth

Meet Anna Syviengkham, Senior Practice Support Advisor for specialties in Sacramento. Anna was drawn to healthcare by a desire to create meaningful change—streamlining processes, supporting providers, and ultimately contributing to better patient care. “It’s incredibly rewarding to know that my role contributes to a more efficient and compassionate healthcare experience for everyone involved,†she shares. To Anna, being a woman in her profession means lifting others up and being a voice for equality and inclusion. Inspired by trailblazers like Dr. Elizabeth Blackwell—the first woman to receive a medical degree in the U.S.—Anna is reminded that her path was made possible by those who boldly challenged the status quo. Her advice to the next generation of women? “Embrace your unique strengths and never shy away from challenges. Your perspective is valuable. Surround yourself with mentors and peers who uplift you—and know that your perseverance will empower others too.†Anna credits Hill Physicians with creating a space where she can thrive both personally and professionally. International Women’s Month, to her, is a time to celebrate progress while continuing the work: “It’s a reminder to strive for gender equity and to help build a world where future generations of women can thrive without limitations.†?? #InternationalWomensMonth

Meet Lucy Ramos, a Practice Support Advisor for Marin and Sonoma counties. Her journey into healthcare began at SF State, where a class called Latino Health Care Perspectives led her to volunteer at a UCSF-SFSU student-run clinic for over six years. “After that, I never turned away from healthcare,†she says. Lucy reflects deeply on what it means to be a woman in her profession: “Women are still greatly being overlooked in many professions. Even though we’re the majority in much of the healthcare administrative field and non-profits, we need to acknowledge that the work we do is important and meaningful—and that the stories of women who’ve overcome hardships to get where they are today need to be told and shared more.†She draws inspiration from her friend Sabrina, who, while battling breast cancer, continues to be a loving mother, a supportive wife, and a fierce advocate for her health. “Even when it looks bleak, she tells me, ‘I’m not ready to go. I’m going to continue fighting.’†Lucy also has a powerful message for the next generation of women: “If you dream of becoming a doctor, NP, surgeon—or something outside of healthcare—and it scares you or feels beyond your abilities, do it anyway. Don’t regret not going for it. I was too afraid to become a doctor because I didn’t see my value. Know your worth. Find a mentor to help guide you.†At Hill, Lucy feels empowered through her role: “Regional Services has helped me realize I can do more as a PSA and add value to the doctors in my community. We are a partnership, and together we can make changes in the health of a community.†To Lucy, International Women’s Month is a time to honor that collective strength: “Women are willing, able, and already doing hard, grinding, mentally draining work. We are resilient, empathetic, and bring essential perspectives to healthcare.†?? #InternationalWomensMonth
