He delivered?two keynote lectures?on?CO? capture & utilization, sharing insights on how these technologies can create real value for Oman. With?hundreds of participants, the hospitality was truly heartwarming. Beyond the lectures, he also served as a?chairperson and jury member! Earl points out that?"It was an incredible experience to discuss how to capture CO?, explore its potential applications, and make these solutions relevant for the host country. The engagement of young engineers, working to make Oman a greener place, was truly inspiring. Their openness to learning, exchanging ideas, and driving change was remarkable!" We got news! Just over a year ago, we launched HealthTechXL with one clear mission: to drive MedTech ventures forward and improve lives. Together with Philips, Brabantse Ontwikkelings Maatschappij (BOM), DeepTechXL, Invest-NL, we decided to bring together deep-tech innovation, clinical expertise, and entrepreneurial drive to make it happen. And it’s already paying off. Meet SonicPrecision. They’re impacting the field of electrophysiology by embedding ultrasound sensors in the tip of ablation catheters, giving doctors real-time imaging and sensing during cardiac arrhythmia treatment.? ??More precision, more safety, better outcomes. SonicPrecision has secured an agreement with Philips to leverage key IP and assets, an incredible step forward. With their first funding from Brabant Startup Fonds BV, they’re now moving full speed ahead with prototype development and preparing for investment rounds. “This program epitomizes the innovation and collaboration that define Brainport Eindhoven as a global leader in MedTech,” said John Bell, CEO of HighTechXL. And as Rene Aarnink, co-founder of SonicPrecision, put it: “Our goal is to transform the treatment of cardiac arrhythmias and improve the lives of patients. This week, we had a full house as the Singaporean teams landed in the Netherlands for the Deep-Tech Expansion Program! ?????????? Despite adapting the?harsh?Dutch weather, they wasted no time making connections. Netherlands Enterprise Agency shared key insights on launching and scaling a deep-tech business in Europe, and between networking events and dinners, Brabantse Ontwikkelings Maatschappij (BOM) gave them a proper introduction to the ecosystem. Demcon, also added value to the program when the ventures got the chance to visit their offices in Best, discussion points included trends in a.o. medical developments and AI. Because let’s be honest, navigating a new market (and its investors) takes the right support! And of course, what’s an immersion without a?pitch? The teams got exclusive access to our program partners, KPMG, PwC, and EP&C Patent Attorneys, for private office hours, where they could address all their questions one by one. Gray Matter Solutions combines neuroscientific cognitive games with Machine Learning to detect and classify Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI), validated against neuroimaging and biomarkers. It is a spin-off from NTU Singapore’s Dementia Research Centre (Singapore). Gray Matter’s vision is to enable early detection and personalized interventions for MCI all across the globe.
