While 2025 is shaping up to be a high-water mark year for affordable housing completions nationally, the need for affordable housing will also grow. The number of new completions is forecast to decline in 2026, according to Housing Finance Magazine. Interest rates remain high and new construction continues to face regulatory challenges that we, as an industry, must address. Working collaboratively with policy makers at all levels of government, we can continue the momentum and work to ensure that the supply of housing matches the growing demand across the nation. https://lnkd.in/ejW6FyXe

Wishing everyone a Happy Holiday Season. Yesterday, the team from Highridge Costa visited our new community, Main Street Apartments in Los Angeles, to spread holiday cheer with gifts of essential supplies to the residents there. A great time was had by all.

The affordable housing crisis is often viewed as an urban issue, but it significantly impacts rural areas too. High urban housing costs drive outward pressure on greenfield development. To address this, government and industry leaders must reduce regulatory barriers, foster innovation and create a diverse housing market. Highridge Costa is celebrating the grand opening of our new permanent supportive housing complex at East 55th and Main St. in South Park Los Angeles on Thursday, October 24. This new community will offer 56 permanent supportive housing units on the site of a former auto repair shop.
