We are excited to celebrate Women’s History Month! Throughout the month of March, we will introduce you to a few of the incredible women who work at Highline Warren and hear what this month means to them. First up, meet Cassie Paniagua, a paralegal on our legal team. Cassie joined Highline Warren eight years ago and has continued to grow and learn, tackling new positions with excitement and passion. Cassie’s advice to fellow women looking to carve their own path? “Be brave enough to suck at something new.” She attributes her success to mentors who have helped her along the way and given her the opportunity to make mistakes and grow from them. She’s also a firm believer in open communication as a team so that everyone feels their voice matters. For Cassie, Women’s History Month is more than a nod to the past—it’s a vibrant celebration of progress and a reminder of the power of advocacy. Her thoughts on making a difference this month and throughout the year? Create a culture where everyone feels empowered, safe to explore new opportunities and comfortable enough to innovate and take risks. Cassie, we are so grateful for your hard work and glad you are part of the team! Thank you for everything you do!?

At Highline Warren, we’re committed to providing the service, scale, selection and solutions our customers need to win. The secret to our success? An incredible team of more than 1,700 people. The safety of our teammates is our number one priority – in every distribution center, manufacturing plant and office across our footprint. After a recent fire drill at our Houston plant, packaging and warehouse manager Demetrius Thompson, blending manager Nick Pasler and maintenance manager Nestor Mirabal led teammates on a facility walk-through to identify emergency stops (E-stops). Teammates learned how to stop equipment quickly throughout the loading rack, production area and tank farm. “If there is a situation that warrants shutting off operation, teammates need to know that it is okay to hit the E-stop,” shared plant manager Vance Hale. “Production is our goal, but safety always comes first .” We’re proud of our team for being proactive and working hard to keep our teammates, customers, vendors and communities safe!

As we kick off Women’s History Month, we’re excited to share about the Women in Auto Care Leadership Conference that 15 Highline Warren teammates recently attended! The theme was “Navigating the Road Ahead” – and the event provided opportunities to network, learn about emerging trends and sharpen professional development skills. Keynote speaker Lauren Ready challenged attendees to “find their why.” Our very own Cass Tomac lived out her “why” of advocating for others by sharing about our Women’s HighWay employee resource group in front of 400 people at the conference! Fun fact: the Women’s HighWay was first imagined during last year’s Women in Auto Care Leadership Conference. We were thrilled to sponsor the conference’s community service project, and we can’t wait to hear everything that our teammates learned!?

As we near the end of Black History Month, we want to feature one more Highline Warren teammate and hear what this month means to them. Meet Derick Jogoo, operations manager at our distribution center in Vacaville, California. Derick emigrated from Kenya in 2005 to pursue an engineering degree, so he didn’t experience Black History Month until moving to the U.S. Even so, he’s come to appreciate its importance of representation, inclusivity and bridging the gap between cultures across the globe. “It’s a chance to learn about different perspectives and to recognize the contributions of Black individuals, not just in the U.S., but around the world," he says. When asked what advice he might give to other Black individuals looking to advance in their careers, he recommended seeking out mentors. Derick credits much of his professional success to mentors, including a former manager who taught him the importance of perseverance and adaptability. “He always emphasized the value of being open to change and learning from every experience,” Derick recalls.? As we celebrate Black History Month, Derick’s story reminds us of the importance of resilience, community and honoring diverse experiences – not just in America, but across the globe. Thank you for all you do, Derick!?

As a fluids quality engineer, every day looks a little different for Jacob Senstad, MBA. In fact, he describes his role as the perfect blend of routine and adventure. ? Jacob is responsible for overseeing fluid quality across our nine manufacturing plants. His goal is to ensure that everything from engine oils to diesel exhaust fluids meet the quality standards our customers have come to expect. Adaptability is key for Jacob. Whether in the lab, on the production floor or traveling between plants, there’s always a process to improve and a new challenge to solve. “I don’t always know what my day is going to look like, because things come up,” he says. “And when they do, I know I either need to head over to a plant, stop by the corporate office or pivot to something else entirely.” From improving blend infrastructure to troubleshooting wash process issues to evaluating new projects and more, Jacob enjoys problem-solving with teammates and partners across our footprint. His overall goal? To ensure our customers receive the highest quality fluids in the automotive aftermarket. When he’s not working, Jacob spends time with his girlfriend, who he loves to cook with. You can also find him at the gym or cheering on Minnesota sports teams - and yes, this includes the Vikings during rough seasons. We love that Jacob is part of the Highline Warren team and is passionate about providing top quality products to our customers!?
