Bobby Witt Jr. delivered many key hits for the Kansas City Royals this season, both on and off the field. His best off-field hit was the statement that became the team’s rallying cry, “The Boys Are Playin’ Some Ball!” They did indeed as they became only the second team in history to lose at least 100 games and then make the playoffs the next season. Sweeping the Baltimore Orioles in the AL Wildcard and then taking the New York Yankees to Game 4 of the ALDS brought back the memories and magic of the Royals from 2014 and 2015. 2 of the biggest KC office leases this year were at Eleven Eleven Main (formerly Town Pavilion). We had the privilege of helping Copaken Brooks (re)brand and (re)tell the story of the building in a post-COVID era so deals like these - and hopefully others - can get done. Favorite stat from today's Kansas City Area Development Council Q3 Investor Update Event: there will be an anticipated 650,000 visitors to the #KC region during the 2026 World Cup. For context, the population of KCMO is 509,000. Not to mention billions watching. ?? ? What an opportunity for us all to make an impact and show off our KC pride. As part of the team proposing Washington Square Park, independent from the Royals and the City, we carefully thought through voters concerns and frustrations.
