Meet Jen Rogers, our March volunteer spotlight! ???? Jen joined High Hopes driven by her love of horses and a desire to give back to the community. As a dedicated horse handler, she volunteers in various programs, with a special fondness for the Parkinson’s program. Outside of High Hopes, she enjoys hiking, gardening, camping, sailing, or relaxing at the beach with her children. For Jen, the most rewarding part of volunteering at High Hopes is being a part of something that brings joy to others, a passion she brings to every interaction with her positive attitude. Thank you for everything you do, Jen! ??? #VolunteerSpotlight #Grateful #EquineAssistedServices #HighHopesHero

A vibrant community in Old Lyme, CT, where horses & humans work together to help improve lives.
关于我们
High Hopes is a vibrant community of horses and humans whose purpose is to improve the lives of people living with physical, cognitive and emotional disabilities. Through Equine Assisted Activities and Therapies we seek to empower and support our participants, volunteers, friends and indeed, our supporters. Seventy-Five percent of our revenue each year is generated from donations and fundraisers. Through our dedicated development team, and valued supporters, our community aims to ensure that anyone who could benefit from the horse-human interaction is able to do so, regardless of their ability to pay. Our participants include children born with physical and cognitive disabilities, adults who are living their lives with cognitive or sensory disabilities, veterans and their families dealing with the impact of deployment and/or PTSD, teens dealing with anxiety, families recovering from domestic abuse, and individuals of all ages living with, or caring for someone with dementia. All can benefit from the unique and therapeutic activities that High Hopes staff, herd, and 650+ volunteers provide. We welcome you to become part of our community, as a partner, a volunteer, a participant, or an occasional visitor to the farm.

Meet Alison, our February volunteer of the month! Alison has been a quiet supporter of High Hopes for years, but in 2024, she decided to dive in and volunteer! Her time in the barn has allowed her to form meaningful connections with our horses, volunteers, and participants — and we are so grateful for her generous spirit. ?? When Alison isn’t helping at High Hopes, you can find her enjoying the beach or the ski slopes, depending on the season! She’s also an EMT, firefighter, and is working toward becoming a yoga instructor. Talk about dedication to helping others! ?? Thank you, Alison, for all you do. We are lucky to have you as part of the High Hopes family! ?? #VolunteerSpotlight #Gratitude #HighHopesHeroes #GivingBack #EquineAssistedServices
