We had a wonderful time listening to Pacific Gas and Electric Company's Patti Poppe's and her vision on the future of climate and energy. The biggest takeaway from a marketing perspective was the need to better explain how decarbonization can lead to cheaper rates. Right now there is a view that clean energy means more expense to consumers which might not be the case. Best of all was catching up with our friends Charlene Zietsma of University of Michigan- School for Environment and Sustainability, fellow B-Corper Katie Carano of HigherRing and Colin Kennedy of DTE Energy. Thank you to the Detroit Economic Club for always putting on a stellar event. Great time all around. #businessforgood.
