Real-Time Response = Saved Lives The Rochester Police Department is taking emergency response to the next level with Live911. This advanced technology allows officers to hear 911 calls in real time—shaving off precious minutes when every second counts. Chief George Rouhib emphasizes the impact: "The bottom line is, it’s going to decrease our response time and increase our service, and that’s the whole goal. If it cuts two minutes off, or even one minute off, that’s phenomenal. " The Oakland County Sheriff's Office, nearby, has already seen success with Live911, including during last year’s Brooklands Splash Pad shooting, where an officer arrived before the call even went out on the radio. Live911 technology to improve emergency response time for Orange County Sheriff's Office. “I’m very excited about Live911, and I think the community should be excited about it,” said Sheriff Mina. Mina tells News 6 that Orange County, FL, receives between 1,800 and 3,300 emergency calls daily.
