"Grace Unbound" pays homage to Aretha Franklin's iconic recording of "Amazing Grace" at the New Temple Missionary Baptist Church in Los Angeles on January 13, 1972. While we're in no way attempting to recreate that historic moment, "Grace Unbound" is inspired by the spirit of Franklin's performance, particularly the cohesive tightness that simultaneously weaves with rhythmic freedom. Both delicate and powerful. This piece features Benjamin Smolen on flute, Hye Jin Kim on piano and vocalist Meredith Crawford—all Incredible artists bringing this composition to life.
