Immigreat Lancaster aims to recognize refugee, asylee, and immigrant talent in the workplace, facilitate gainful employment, and increase a sense of purpose and company productivity. Immigreat’s team encountered a man working double shifts as a custodian to support his family of six. Through a career and values assessment, they learned he has a degree in Civil Engineering, spoke four languages, and owned a construction company in his home country. Immigreat connected him with a local construction company who needed a civil engineer. The opportunity to work in his field of expertise completely changed his family’s life, while also fixing a workforce shortage at this local company. We are excited to announce Josephine Thornton has been hired as Executive Assistant with High Foundation! In this role, Joyce will provide a broad range of advanced and diverse management and administrative duties for the Foundation team, including supporting the work of the Boards of High Foundation and established 501c3 entities formed to lead and execute our High Impact strategies relating to the environment and housing. Joyce comes to us from Campbell Soup Company where she served as PMO Program Manager, responsible for end-to-end execution of projects/programs while leading cross-functional teams across the enterprise. Things she’ll always say yes to: Spending time with family, travel, home improvements, and fitness/sports!

For Allyson, who grew up playing in the creeks of Lancaster County, the outdoors have played a pivotal role in her life for as long as she can remember.
