Moving forward in a new role with Confidential Canine, Inc. (Team K9). As many of you have seen, we have done a small reorganization of the leadership at Confidential Canine. This included moving myself, Branden Loock up to the role of President, bringing in a stellar new Vice-President, Michael Trenkamp, and Philip Corrado moving to Executive Director. Philip has led Team K9 since its inception in 2016 and during this time has built many high level relationships with clients that we still work with today. These changes do not alter our foundation of service and goals of providing the highest quality services in K9 detection, working alongside security teams at music festivals, sporting events, conventions, etc., but rather create a fresh vision and move toward creating more relationships with clients across the country. Our teams will continue to provide the highest quality professional services, as we have always done. This is our commitment to our clients. We want to thank all of our past and current clients, and look forward to working with each of them, as well as new clients in the future. We thank you all for your continued trust in Confidential Canine and our teams to keep your venues, patrons and staff safe. This past weekend, Leara and I competed in the 1st Annual Bradley Taylor Memorial K9 Trials in explosive detection. Unfortunately we were unable to attend the awards ceremony on Sunday due to work, but we were very happy to find out how well we did!! 1st Place Explosives Top Dog 1st Place Explosives VIP Search 3rd Place Explosives Vehicle Search There were so many amazing teams we have competed against in past trials, so to do this well makes it all that more special! Sorry... sorta long gratitude post... There are times I will stop and think about what I've done to deserve the people around me. Then I watch all these people, committed to what they are doing, spend their holiday weekend learning, training, taking in all the knowledge being shared by experts and it reminds me how grateful I am to have such amazing people surrounding our team. Even though we knew it was training, seeing the handlers responses to a very stressful situation was a reality check for all of us. David Adibembe from SCENTLOGIX and ScentSource for your time, teaching the practitioners about how their dogs understand odor, how it works, and get them thinking more about odor science. Eric Byrd from Kinetic Nutrition Group, LLC, you had so many people thinking about what we feed our dogs, how we monitor a dogs health, and understanding that just giving our dogs something to eat, might not be what they need to be at the top of their game. Kyle, thank you for all the pictures, videos, and for supporting Shaneel and all of our team. Monica, for putting up with my crazy ideas, like holding a seminar over a holiday weekend, all the dogs, and all the things we are working to accomplish. When you realize how far you’ve come. When I started High Definition K9 in 2019, I never dreamt that 4 years later we would be taking team pictures with half of our team, and that half is 9 handlers. The other half is in California, and a couple in Florida. We are working multiple festivals, NBA arenas, concerts, private events, and more all over the country. I am so proud of the time these folks put into training, the pride they take in their work, and the fun we have together. Thanks to everyone involved, Philip with Confidential Canine for taking a chance with me to together build a group we can count on and trust.
