  • Checking your blood pressure the right way matters. Sit comfortably, rest your arm at heart level, and avoid caffeine or exercise 30 minutes beforehand. Monitoring your blood pressure regularly is key if you have hypertension or another heart condition—it helps catch changes early and keeps your treatment on track. Self-reported readings between doctor visits give your provider a clearer picture of your heart health, so don’t skip them! Need to check yours? Here, Liz Campbell, an RN with our care management team, shows you how to do high-quality self-measured BPs between doctor visits. Don't skip this important step toward better heart health. Stop by our Blood Pressure Station at Boone Dental—we’re happy to help!
