Overwhelmed with love! When I originally posted the video of our senior football players giving their jerseys to staff members, I had no idea what kind of response it would receive. In fact, I wasn’t really expecting much at all. The past four days have been filled with love, positivity, and hope. I’m so happy for our students, our staff, and our Taft Senators community. There is so much good happening, yet it’s not always highlighted, so this is HUGE. Every day, I go to work with a student-first mentality. No matter what else is going on, my students are my number one priority. I will do whatever it takes to ensure that Taft students have the same fair and equitable opportunities as others around the world. They deserve it. When I took the job at Taft, I had a vision: to be authentically myself and to lead with honor, pride, integrity, and courage. Every day is an opportunity to make a difference, and I AM JUST GETTING STARTED. This story right here is TAFT. WE ARE TAFT! ????

This was one of the most wholesome and heartwarming projects I’ve worked on this year at Taft. Our students and staff have been through SO much in such a short 2-3 months. Sooo… In honor of Senior Day today, our Football Players chose one staff member who has had a positive impact on their life to wear their jersey to the game this afternoon. From security, to teachers, to administrators, no matter what title you hold, you never know who you can have an impact on. Every day we come to work with an opportunity to make a difference & these staff members have impacted these young men’s lives for the better. WE ARE TAFT ????
