In an industry where reducing costs while maintaining high standards of care is critical, hidalga? is focused on transforming the processing of treatment pre-approvals or prior authorizations (PAs) and patient data preparation. Our goal is to tackle the inefficiencies of traditional PA processes, which are often manual, error-prone, and time-consuming—diverting resources away from patient care. ? We project that hidalga? could reduce the time spent on PA processing by up to 25%, leading to substantial savings for clinics. These savings can be reinvested in patient care, driving better outcomes across the board. ? Taking a look back on an important moment for Hidalga Technologies during the annual Governors Cup, where our amazing team walked away with first place in the Evaluator Pitch Competition and third in the High-Growth Graduate Division. Something that gave the financial jump start that Hidalga had worked long and hard for. In all, Hidalga attended the 3 competitions in two different countries (Heartland, Governors Cup, Stu Clark) within 8 days. This experience allowed our team help understand what investors demanded and needing from us going forward. This moment helped shape us and make us stronger going forward. Today we want to share the unpredictability of Prior Auths. can have on not only the patient outcome, but also the unneeded complications it brings upon physicians and their clinics. From a peer reviewed article in the American Medical Association (https://lnkd.in/ggER4Y2H) illustrates the various unnecessary difficulties the arise from prior auths. Just one example of these difficulties is forcing tough decisions on both the patient and the doctor that the best treatment solution might not be one the insurance will pay for, but would instead have to go for a more cost effective option to reduce the payout of the provider. This is just one of the many goals that Hidalga Technologies aims to fix. We are making this complicated process more intuitive and seamless for the clinics that have to deal with these issues everyday. Hidalga Tech. continues to track political developments in our space to provide solutions that address prior auth clinical challenges. We aim to promote greater accountability and efficiency in the prior authorization process. And to move in stride with us the U.S. government, through the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), has announced new guidelines aimed at significantly improving the prior authorization process. These guidelines, set to be implemented primarily by 2026, include several key changes to reduce the burden on healthcare providers and enhance patient care. One of the most notable changes is the requirement for payers to process expedited (urgent) prior authorization requests within 72 hours and standard (non-urgent) requests within seven calendar days. This new rule aims to cut the current decision times, which can vary widely, effectively in half for many payers (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services)&(American Hospital Association).#PatientCare #InsuranceTech #HealthcareSolutions
