Please join us in congratulating our 2025 Rise Intern, Anne M Sandjol! Born and raised in Cameroon, Anne's love for drawing—and her "obsession" with home remodeling shows—at a young age was soon woven into her passion for housing and design. Anne took advantage of the opportunities and tools presented to her to delve into this interest, particularly in high school when she joined a technology program that introduced her to design software such as #SketchUp, #Revit, and #AutoCAD. She shares that this experience solidified her passion for architecture, as she loves seeing how an idea can evolve into a sketch and eventually transform into a beautifully designed structure; "The ability to bring concepts to life through design is what truly drew me into this field." Anne comes to us from the?University of Maryland and is excited to continue learning and designing in the DMV area. Bringing ambition to the table, she shares, "I'm especially eager to deepen my understanding of sustainable strategies, particularly the use of mass timber and its role in reducing environmental impact."
