Mission: To provide a safe, supportive environment that encourages people with brain injuries and other neurological challenges to design and direct their own life journey. The Hickok Center for Brain Injury is a not for profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to brain injury survivors. Our centers located in Rochester, NY and serves the Greater Rochester community. The Center provides supports including Day Programs, Service Coordination, and prevocational and vocational services for adult survivors of brain injury that foster independence, social confidence and friendships.

What is an acquired brain injury? A non-traumatic brain injury, is often referred to as an acquired brain injury. It is a non-traumatic brain injury that causes damage to the brain by internal factors, such as a lack of oxygen, exposure to toxins, pressure from a tumor, etc. Examples include: ? Stroke ?
