🎉41 years of HICAPS🎉 On March 10, 1984, HICAPS was established by Dan Hood and Wayne McGee. This month, we proudly celebrate an incredible journey of 41 years. What began as a small two-man operation has blossomed into a vibrant and dynamic business fueled by the unwavering dedication and hard work of our team members who embody our core values daily. We take this moment to reflect on the successful completion of numerous projects, the invaluable connections we’ve forged, and the spirit of collaboration that propels us forward. Together, we continue to thrive, innovate, and make a meaningful impact in our industry.

This week, we celebrate Women in Construction! Women In Construction Week is meant to celebrate and promote the role of women in the construction industry, and is a time to encourage more women to seek construction opportunities. The HICAPS team includes many inspirational, hard-working women who we would not be able to succeed without. This year's theme, 'Together we Rise', celebrates the strength and knowledge of women and the vital role they play in shaping the future of the construction industry. Together, we will succeed. This month, we are celebrating another significant milestone! Dave Smith, our Vice President of Construction Management and Building Diagnostics, is celebrating six years at HICAPS. Dave truly is the backbone of this department and an essential part of our team. His dedication, leadership, and expertise enable us to continue driving our success forward. Congratulations, Dave!

This month, we are celebrating a milestone on our General Contracting team for Adnan Diwan! Adnan has been with HICAPS, Inc. for 7 years (more if you count his internship). Adnan was an intern at HICAPS while completing his Master of Civil Engineering at North Carolina State University. He later joined the team as a Project Engineer and worked his way into his current role as a Project Manager. Adnan has worked on several projects in SC and NC, and we can always count on him to bring his expertise to complete our projects successfully. Happy anniversary, Adnan! 

Ribbon Cutting Ceremony 🎉    Last week, HICAPS/C2 and the Guilford County Schools community celebrated the opening of Foust Gaming and Robotics Elementary School with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. This momentous occasion marked the opening of the country's first-ever Gaming and Robotics Elementary School.    Our joint venture, HICAPS/C2, oversaw the design and construction of this 105,000-square-foot facility, designed to enhance student learning in a new way. It includes a media library stairs space, a robotics classroom, outdoor learning areas, and much more.   A big thank you to everyone who put their hard work and dedication into this project, including Gensler, Barnhill Contracting Company, Horizon Engineers, and Guilford County Schools! We look forward to seeing what these students will create in the years ahead!

January was full of milestones - concluding with an anniversary for H Clay Wambo! Clay is a QA Superintendent on the General Contracting team and has been with HICAPS, Inc. for four years. His experience with unique projects in the Federal and private sectors has been invaluable to the company. Clay, thank you for your commitment to quality, which continues to be evident in our projects. We are so glad to have you on the team!

This month, we celebrate another significant milestone at HICAPS- Avery Owens, one of our Project Managers on the Construction Management team, is celebrating four years at HICAPS! Starting as an intern from Western Carolina University, Avery decided to join our team upon graduation and continues to demonstrate a strong work ethic, is always there to offer a helping hand, and is a true asset to our team. Congratulations Avery!
