Last week, our community team loaded up the van with boxes and boxes of shoes to donate to Birmingham City Schools. The shoes will be given to any child in the school system that is in need and a it was a great way to give life and purpose to shoes only worn by a model for photo shoots.?#Community

Last week, in partnership with Nike, Birmingham Mayor Randall Woodfin and Birmingham Promise, we announced our newest philanthropic initiative, First String. ?First String is dedicated to empowering the next generation of student-athletes by providing a substantial financial contribution to high schools boys and girls basketball teams and awarding collegiate scholarship funding for a student from each team. Additionally, First String will provide students with career development opportunities within their corporate offices or stores. The Inaugural First String donation of $50,000 was made to the Wenonah High School boys and girls basketball program. Congratulations to the Wenonah Dragons and we got your back!
This past Friday, Hibbett partnered with Nike and Knight Eady to bring the Inaugural Bama in Boutwell to Birmingham! The Alabama Crimson Tide took on Wake Forest in the first ever exhibition game of its kind in the historic Boutwell Auditorium. Fans had the opportunity to shop for the JA2 in the pop-up store, photo booth experiences, chances to win gift cards and even the US debut of the Touch2See technology for seven students from the Alabama Institute for the Deaf and Blind.
