Andre Morales and Sebastian J Cabán Rodríguez's research project focuses on understanding the challenges faced by college students living with ADHD and/or learning disabilities. Their goal is to identify the needs, barriers, and limitations of these students to explore what type of digital technology can provide them with effective support and solutions. Next week our team will launch a study to collect the perspectives of students with ADHD and/or learning disabilities at UPRM.

Acevedo Andino's work investigating the sociotechnical structure of telehealth integration in healthcare systems in Puerto Rico has been published in the November 2024 issue of the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers' ISE Magazine and has been featured in the cover of the issue. Congrats to Fabiola for this achievement and for her ongoing research efforts on this topic!

While the adoption of telehealth in Puerto Rico accelerated during the COVID-19 pandemic, significant challenges compared to the mainland, United States, makes it timely to characterize the panorama of telehealth in the island to identify areas of opportunities to improve the adoption and integration of telehealth in healthcare settings (i.e., hospitals, clinics, doctor offices).?This is the problem that Fabiola A. Hoy, 21 de septiembre, es el Día Mundial del Alzheimer. El HHSE Lab se une a los esfuerzos para crear conciencia y desafiar el estigma en torno al Alzheimer y otras demencias. En el HHSE Lab estamos llevando a cabo un estudio cuyo objetivo es identificar las necesidades y barreras que enfrentan los cuidadores informales de pacientes con Alzheimer y demencias relacionadas, con el fin de explorar cómo la tecnología móvil puede utilizarse para proporcionarles apoyo y soluciones efectivas. Agradecemos que nos ayude a difundir el volante abajo, facilitando el contacto con cuidadodres informales que puedan estar interesados en compartir sus experiencias. Este estudio ha sido revisado y aprobado por la Comisión para la Protección de los Seres Humanos en la Investigación - RUM.
