This new 5 GW solar panel recycling facility is a significant milestone for SOLARCYCLE. The state-of-the-art plant will advance sustainable solar solutions and make a meaningful impact on the lifecycle of solar technology. We’re proud to support SOLARCYCLE’s mission to revolutionize solar panel recycling and drive forward a more sustainable energy future. Congratulations to the entire SOLARCYCLE team on this achievement—we’re excited to see the positive impact this new facility will bring to the industry and beyond.
Today we are excited to announce our 3rd and largest solar panel recycling facility, in partnership with #Georgia Office of Governor Brian P. Kemp The facility will be the largest in the US, capable of processing 10 million panels per year at full capacity. That’s enough to handle 25-30% of the US solar panels reaching end of life in 2030. The 255,000 sq ft facility will sit directly across from the land we have purchased from the Cedartown Development Authority, where we will soon begin construction on the first-of-its-kind solar glass factory at our Cedartown Georgia campus -- creating 1250+ family-sustaining jobs and investing more than $400M. This circular economy campus represents and advances our commitment to onshoring the #clean energy supply chain. With this announcement, we are thrilled to welcome Microsoft to our bench of strategic partners, including Fifth Wall, HG Ventures, Prologis Ventures, Closed Loop Partners, and Urban Innovation Fund.
