We’re halfway through the HFMA Tennessee Chapter Fall Institute, and Day 2 has delivered incredible insights and connections! We started with a working breakfast, where providers split into groups by host system. This collaborative environment allowed them to exchange tips and strategies for maximizing efficiency and overcoming challenges unique to each system. Rodney Adams, MMHC, FHFMA, CRCR, then led a thought-provoking session, “Policy and Payer: Challenges are Plentiful, but What About Solutions?” offering practical and strategic solutions to some of the industry’s toughest issues. Next, Lakmini K., Kemberly Blackledge, DSc, FACHE, and Julie Carpenter took us through the evolution of healthcare, outlining how hospitals are positioning themselves for long-term success over the next two decades. Kylii Bijeaux and Aaron Hudgins followed with valuable strategies for expanding access to care while boosting cash flow. After lunch, Chris Spady inspired us with “The Future of Healthcare: The Past Does Not Predict the Future,” highlighting key trends in the industry and stressing the need for innovation to address current healthcare challenges. But the day’s not over yet! We’re gearing up for Thinks & Drinks, an interactive problem-solving session, followed by our rooftop party at Friends in Low Places—a perfect way to unwind and network with fellow attendees. Stay tuned for more updates from Nashville!
