?? A Huge Thank You to BJ Roberts, CFO of Mercy Hospital Springfield! ?? We had the privilege of attending BJ Roberts’ sensational presentation on HOD Conversions: Maximizing Reimbursement and Compliance. BJ provided a deep dive into the transition from a clinic to a Hospital Outpatient Department (HOD), highlighting the financial and operational advantages, particularly with regard to 340B eligibility. His real-world examples from Mercy Hospital Springfield were especially eye opening, touching on topics like: ? Hybrid billing solutions ? Expedited Medicare cost reporting ? The importance of updating hospital-based policies and procedures, rebuilding the EHR, navigating an increased regulatory environment, and adjusting physician/provider workflows. This session was the perfect cross-section of finance and revenue cycle, giving us a clear vision into the strategic benefits of HOD conversions and how they can boost financial performance while ensuring compliance. Thank you, BJ, for sharing your expertise and helping us understand how your organization is embarking on these transitions to optimize both reimbursement and operations for the best possible care and experience for the patients of Mercy. #HFMA #HealthcareFinance #RevenueCycle #HODConversions #340BEligibility #Compliance #OperationalExcellence #Medicare #FinanceAndOperations #BridgingTheGap
