American Alliance of Orthopaedic Executives (AAOE)…the Evolve 2024 Conference didn't disappoint. It was a great experience for our team. We also chatted with everyone we met to see if they were getting good value from the event, and the consistent answer was a resounding yes. We shared insights from our 15+ years of implementing boutique orthopedic marketing strategies, discussing our research and methods with doctors, practice admins, and internal marketing teams. Beyond discussing health marketing execution, a core focus was on our Pain Axis Research initiative (PainAxis.org), dedicated to diving DEEP into the complex world of pain...living with it, battling it, fixing it— from both the patient and physician side. We’re soon moving beyond basic smiley face pain charts. Let’s consider two patients with identical injuries and surgeries; we often see completely different interpretations of pain levels. Yes, we live in complex bodies in a complex world, but we're committed to moving the ball forward in how this is understood. ***Understanding how and when people seek doctors when struggling with either acute or chronic pain is a key area of our research — and plays a critical role in patient marketing and communications.*** If you didn’t get a chance to attend, we’re happy to share our insights on both patient and marketing outcomes with you as well. Also, shoutout to the team behind the scenes there...so much work and thank you for going above and beyond to help exhibitors, speakers, etc. - https://lnkd.in/ehC4xW5M

Reminder: The world happens outside your office and outside your comfort zone. You have to let life surprise you. I may sound like a fridge magnet here, but someone needs to hear this. I definitely needed the reminder. Last week at American Alliance of Orthopaedic Executives (AAOE) Conference in Chicago, several great things happened that I DID NOT expect. They weren’t even on my radar. Everyone, especially entrepreneurs and leaders (of any business) need to get OUT of the office as much as possible. I routinely forget to prioritize this ??… as I passionately get DEEP into multiple projects…then look up and it’s been 6 months or a year. Again, the world happens outside your office and outside your comfort zone. People always say “you don’t know what you dont know”. Well, you have to find out. Our team learned a ton in areas we didn’t expect, met several amazing new employees (wasn’t expecting that), B2B partners doing things we didn’t know about and new clients that we’re super excited to work with. Always be on the lookout for opportunities to both build and discover new relationships, ideas and places. After many years, I know it’s the most important aspect of building anything.
