“My parents, who are immigrants from Mexico, instilled in me the importance of family values, religion, hard work, integrity, and education,” Gerald Lopez says. As a Strategic Development Manager II at HPE, Gerald is known for going above and beyond, balancing humility and confidence, and leading efforts to help groups and team members grow. As a volunteer with Juntos Houston RG and a member of the HPE University Recruitment team, Gerald shares his experience to inspire the next generation. His early life included academic challenges that tested him, but Gerald’s perseverance led him to earn multiple degrees and certifications, including a master’s from Texas A&M. His technology career journey began in customer service, evolving into a key role where he manages multiple projects and helps bridge the gap between business and IT. “Small actions can create a chain reaction of learning and growth,” Gerald believes. “Push your boundaries, volunteer in your community, and build relationships by taking the time to truly know people.
