Massachusetts has stepped up for its veterans with the historic HERO Act, delivering critical benefits in 2025. The disabled veteran annuity will increase to $1,250 in February 2025, with an annual payment of $2,500 beginning in August 2025. Veterans who qualify for the disabled veterans license plate, including Purple Heart specialty plates, will receive a sales tax exemption.
