The Trevor Project shared an insightful study today for Intersex Solidarity Day. TLDR? ?? Over three-quarters (77%) of intersex LGBTQ+ young people reported that someone in their life attempted to change their LGBTQ+ identity. Those results are staggering to us and we hope to see a future in which young people are empowered to embrace and explore their identities for themselves. We conducted a study of over 2000 users on the difficulties and struggles that bisexual people face and released it last month for? #BiAwarenessWeek ?????? The TLDR? 40% of bisexual people admit feeling invisible in LGBTQIA+ spaces due to the bi-erasure they have faced.? 34% of bisexual respondents revealed they’ve been labeled “greedy” or “confused” — a stereotype that simply refuses to die. 48% of bisexuals are tired of being asked “Who Do You Really Like More?” underscoring the frustrations of having their sexuality policed by others.
