Veterans of America's most recent wars are challenged to find work in the civilian workforce. Since 2012, we at HeroMatters have devoted our energy to passionately advocating for our Veterans. We are a non-profit veteran career advocating and training team working to drive the next level veteran transitions back into the civilian workforce. HeroMatters operates on five main pillars; Help, Focus, Advocate, Raise and Assist. ? Help Veterans research and learn about local service organizations and what their missions and needs are. ? Focus on veteran strengths and challenges in the work force and the negative attitudes around veteran “issues” ? Advocate for veterans in a positive light in every conversation with corporations. ? Raise awareness to the issues of veteran suicide and PTSD. ? Assist Veterans masterfully explain their service to Non-military personnel. We are committed to our veterans... their career growth, image and ultimately their success! The first key to veteran success in the civilian workplace is the ability to communicate. We work directly with the individual and not their rank and job title. Getting them to understand the complexity of their personnel and project management experience is paramount to getting the “right" career.
