We're hiring a Band Teacher (40%) at our Hermosa Valley School. This part-time Band Teacher position will lead the 5th grade and middle school band programs, encouraging students to play musical instruments. Work hours are 8:15 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Monday through Friday. The salary is prorated to 40% of the Certificated Salary Schedule, ranging from $59,004 to $102,692 annually, based on education and experience. The HBCSD Board of Education would like to announce that Superintendent Dr. Jason Johnson has been selected to lead El Segundo Unified School District effective July 1, 2024. We congratulate Dr. Johnson on his new position and wish him the best of luck. On Monday, May 20, 2024, the Hermosa Beach City School District Board of Education initiated the search for a new superintendent of schools. The Board has retained the Education Support Services (ESS) advisors, Dr. Steven Keller and Dr. Gary Rutherford, to conduct the search for our District's next superintendent. The selected candidate is expected to begin their assignment as soon as possible following Board approval. COMMUNITY INPUT As we embark on the important journey of selecting our new superintendent of schools, your input is crucial. We welcome feedback from our leadership, certificated and classified staff, parents/guardians, students, and community members/partners.
